Meet David Ireland

For the last 20 years I’ve existed between the worlds of research and business. From being a laboratory researcher developing anti-cancer therapeutics to working in tech transfer at universities, and to building, investing in, and selling several technology related businesses, I’ve sat on all corners of the deep-tech commercialisation table.

In 2012 my wife and I moved to Canberra to support my role as General Manager, Innovation and Global, at CSIRO. Since then, we have had two children, now in grades 6 and 4. As a family, when not at the netball or basketball courts, we spend time at the coast surfing and in the mountains hiking and skiing.
