Steve has over 40 years’ experience in the property and construction industry working on major projects and investments in Australia, the USA and South East Asia.

Previously he has held the position of Executive Director at Hindmarsh Pty Ltd and he has been investing in venture capital opportunities for over 20 years. Steve is the CEO of Australian Capital Ventures, an early-stage venture fund established by Hindmarsh, private investors and the ACT Government to promote Canberra business investment in venture and growth businesses in the ACT region.

During that time, he has evaluated over 500 early-stage investments. 17 of those investments made with 4 investee companies achieving stock exchange listing on either the ASX or the AIM in the UK. Investments have ranged widely: from biotech to physical products, to service companies, to software developers.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) (University of Sydney): an MBA (University of Melbourne) and is a Fellow of The Institution of Engineers, Australia.
